Saphira Art

Saphira was born in Bolzano, Italy and raised up in Ortisei of Gardena Valley. As a child she was continuously confronted with the centuries old traditional sacred sculptures of the place. She inherited the artistic being of the dynasty Jumbierch and from a young age showed taste and interest in art.

Saphira started studying ballet at the age of 5, which won her soul. The expressive movements and the virtuous music led her to love this art form up to now. To improve, she changed from the local ballet schools to the neighbouring city of Bolzano, being enriched with new experiences such as performing annually at the Municipal Theatre of Bolzano. The elegance and determination became a part of her being and with them the passion of the stage.

In the year 2011 she starred as Belle in the school musical of the Disney story “The Beauty and The Beast”. This future decisive event brought her to prosecute her education at the Art School Cademia in Ortisei, where she discovered painting on a human canvas.

At the time, the world body painting festival took place in Pörtschach am Wörthersee in Carinthia. This astonishing form of art drew her attention and didn't let her go ever since.

She visited many workshops at the festival in 2013, where she met the World Bodypainting Champion of 2012, Johannes Stötter.
She assisted him on several occasions and learned further through the direct approach on the field.

Meanwhile she left the local art school, which she attended for two years, and began her specialisation in painting at the secondary college for construction and design in Innsbruck, Austria. In 2014 participated in the festival again and discovered her new passion: the airbrush.
In August 2014 she performed in her fathers workshop, bringing to life her father`s August Klimt inspired piece of art.

Currently still concentrating on studying, Saphira practices body painting with airbrush and sponge/brush techniques. Outward of the school career she always finds time for her passions and experiments actively new techniques.
